Located on a steep hillside overlooking Cambridge Reservoir in Lincoln, MA, Care Dimensions’ second hospice (the first was the Kaplan Family Hospice House, also by EGA, in Danvers) brings much of the award winning sensibilities of the first to a new and challenging site.
Evoking a woodland lodge and incorporating significant amounts of ledge from the site into decorative retaining walls, the exterior and landscaping of the project is elegant but understated. The interiors opts for a warm, modern aesthetic that plays nicely with the exterior while creating its own unique and rich environment.
As with the previous Hospice, the design provides all of the patient and family focused amenities, offering a range of public to private spaces that allow for those who come to create their own personal experience.
